Health Interventions

Pratapgarh district fares low in almost all the development indicators, including health. Ever since inception, Janpriya Sewa Sansthan is addressing health concerns of the people through a number of measures. It regularly organises health camps to provide medical services and check-ups to underserved or remote communities. These camps often focus on preventive care, health education, and early detection of diseases.

Eye camps are organised to provide eye-related services, such as vision testing, cataract surgeries and distributing eyeglasses. They are particularly important in the rural areas of Pratapgarh district because of high prevalence of eye diseases and visual impairments.

JSS organises disability awareness camps to raise awareness about the challenges and needs of people with disabilities. These camps provide information about disability rights, accessibility, and inclusion, along with support services for individuals with disabilities.

Blood donation camps are organised to collect blood donations from willing donors. Breastfeeding week is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding for both the mother and the child.

JSS set up and ran ‘Abhinav’ Health Post in a remote village to provide government health facilities in the remote area. This health post covered two villages Kotha Newadia and Pachkhara.
