Women Empowerment

Geographically, men and women share same space, yet they are not treated equally in real world. There exists disparity in women’s access to education, healthcare, physical and financial resources and women have fewer opportunities in the political, economic, social and cultural field. Everywhere in the world, women are accorded a lower status than men.

This is true of Pratapgarh district also. Janpriya Sewa Sansthan is making efforts to empower women with a view to end gender disparity. Some of the measures include:

1. Awareness generation on gender issues among the people and staff for promoting gender equality
2. Awareness generation on measures to check sexual harassment at workplace
3. Workshop on violence against women (and children)
